Who is Jesus?

From a Christian perspective, this is the most important question in life.  In Christianized nations such as the United States, you are likely to get a wide variety of answers depending on who you ask.  In other parts of the world, people may not have ever even heard of Jesus.

Our Alpha Course, which takes place in our home every Friday evening with a group of University students from a nearby country allows people to ask that question, and explore the answer for themselves.  So far, we have completed 4 weeks, and the students are coming to understand who Jesus is and what He has done for them.  It is an exciting time for them, as well as us, but we need your prayer!

Many of our students have had virtually no religious education, as their home country frowns upon such things.  In the Bible, Paul wrote, “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. – 2 Corinthians 4:4 (NIV).  I feel this is such an accurate description of our group.  Some are hesitant, fearing cultural repercussions.  Others don’t want to lay aside things that they need to let go of.  And still others, just don’t seem to grasp the Gospel (great, though it is!).

Will you pray?  Please pray for our us, as well as our group, as we continue to explore the Christian faith.  If you would like to pray as our session is going on, the specific time frame would be around 7:00 am – 9:30 am on Friday mornings (EST).
